Notes | Originating from Albania, he joined the staff of apprentice interpreters in Constantinople on the recommendation of his father, Luca Dabba di Sumaghi, who was the chaplain of resident envoy Carl Terlingo. He served in the Great Turkish War, in 1689 as an interpreter in Szeged, and from 1690 in Niš. |
