"notes": "In 1596, while still a child, he was captured and taken to General Adolf Schwarzenberg, who baptized him, trained him as an interpreter and recommended him for imperial service. He was assistant interpreter from 1600, and from 1611 fully accredited interpreter at the fortress of Győr. In addition to interpreting and translating, his duties included accompanying Ottoman envoys, and he also participated in several peace negotiations and the drafting of peace treaties. In 1628, with the permission of the chief captain of Győr, he joined the embassies of Johann Ludwig Kuefstein. Similarly, he worked as interpreter for Johann Rudolf Pucheim during his 1633–34 mission to the Sublime Porte. He died in Győr on the 30th of October 1642.",

In 1657 Ferdinand III granted him the title of Procurator of the Kingdom of Bosnia, confirmed in 1671.",

"notes": "Employed largely unofficially by resident envoy Michael Starzer since 1611, he was appointed to the position of interpreter of the Habsburg embassy in Constantinople in 1613. In the absence of a fully accredited resident envoy, he performed quasi ambassadorial service as interim agent from 1621 to 1625. He shared his duties between Constantinople, Prague and Vienna, carrying out numerous diplomatic missions, mainly to Buda, including accompanying the Ottoman envoys to the Imperial Diet of Linz in 1614. He interpreted at the peace treaties of Gyarmat, the first and second treaties of Szőny. In 1634 he was chosen to lead the imperial embassy to the Tatar Khan, which was finally cancelled. He worked as imperial interpreter until his death.",

Er maturierte 1884[2] und begann Chemie an der Technischen Hochschule in Wien zu studieren. Seine Studien musste er zunächst unterbrechen und verdiente seinen Lebensunterhalt mit dem Betrieb der Gastwirtschaft \"Winzerhaus\"[3] im Wiener Prater.[4]\r\n\r\nAm 22. Jänner 1892 heiratete er Katharina, die Tochter des Hof-Wagenlackierers Vinzenz Donninger.[5] 1894 bekamen sie einen Sohn, den sie ebenfalls Leopold nannten.[6]\r\n\r\nNachdem sein Vater das Theater in der Josefstadt übernommen hatte, nahm er bei Hofschauspieler Ferdinand Kracher dramatischen und E. Gärtner Gesangsunterricht und debütierte 1887. Später war er auch am Carltheater engagiert und stand seinem Vater bei der Führung des Variete-Theaters zur Seite.\r\n\r\nEinige Jahre später wurde er als \"bürgerlicher Gastwirt\" zunächst Mitglied im Bezirksvorstand und schließlich von 1912 bis 1918 auch sozialdemokratischer Bezirksvorsteher des zweiten Wiener Gemeindebezirks[7] (Leopoldstadt).[8]\r\n\r\nLeopold Blasel ist Autor des Buchs \"Wien. Zum Tode verurteilt: Eine aktuelle Studie zu den Wahlen in die Konstituante\", das 1918 erschien.[9]\r\n\r\nEr starb 1931 in Wien.\r\n\r\nSein Cousin Paul Blasel ebenso wie dessen Frau Leopoldine Blasel wurden ebenfalls Schauspieler und Sänger.",

"notes": "In 1691, he applies for the position of interpreter vacated by the death of Pantaleone Cleronome, but Mammucca della Torre, who criticizes his application, recommends his protégé instead. Nevertheless, he was given translating duties in the War Council. In 1692, at the request of the Dutch ambassador, he accompanied him to the Ottoman Empire. In 1697, he is examined by the chief interpreter Meninsky, who recommends him for another interpreting post with the Saxon corps and later with the Transylvanian corps in the Great Ottoman War. In 1698 he unsuccessfully applied for the position of the resident envoy in Constantinople, but at his own request he was allowed to participate in the Habsburg-Ottoman peace negotiations. In 1699, he joined the frontier commission alongside Fernando Marsigli, but in the same year he joined the escort of the Ottoman embassy to Vienna. He was resident envoy in Constantinople for two periods, and took part in the peace negotiations in Požarevac.",
